Bio
Mario was born in the Imperial Valley, and raised in the small border-town of Calexico, CA. Mario is bilingual in English and Spanish.
Mario moved to San Diego, CA when he was 18 years old to attend San Diego State University, where he majored in Political Science and minor in Philosophy. Growing up, Mario always had a knack for arguing against the grain and for attempting to see life from different perspectives.
After San Diego State University, Mario attended Thomas Jefferson School of Law through their criminal law fellowship program. Mario was slating himself to be a criminal defense attorney, as he had always envisioned himself litigating the innocence of wrongly prosecuted defendants as he had seen in T.V. shows and movies growing up.
Prior to becoming an attorney, Mario moved back to the Imperial Valley for a brief period and worked as a law clerk for the Federal Defenders of San Diego in their satellite office and California Rural Legal Assistance. After becoming an attorney, Mario garnered experience working as an associate attorney for a few reputable San Diego family law firms.
Throughout his years of practice, Mario has seen and heard of all of the intricacies of family law. His passion for helping others has really helped further his litigation skills as Mario loves to head to Court and go to bat for all of his clients.
Outside of work, Mario is usually found spending time with his family and friends, and/or his dog, Charlie. You can find Mario also participating in local leagues either playing kickball, dodgeball, and flag football. Mario also likes to play video games, travel, and go fishing during his downtime.
